Announcement Patch #15: Gamble Refresh, Auto Gold Pickup, D2GL and More

Just tested D2GL – an excellent solution with a lot of visual and performance improvements. Thanks again for this innovation. The only thing I’m still unsure about is whether the game will crash when using the maphack (previously, I would get a “Halt…” error roughly once every 10 games).


Battle Orders: it’s great that it can now be used in town, but I tested it with summons (wolves, bears) and unfortunately, they didn’t get the buff while in town. It would be awesome to allow them to receive BO there as well.


The new patch has opened my eyes to some interesting new builds, so I’m off to test them before the ladder starts. I’ll definitely report any ideas or issues I come across.

 

not tested yet , but in older patches like 1.13c (as it is here) delirium as well as fortitude on merc can cause errors even without using maphack
bugged chilling armor starts to spam ice bolts like crazy when there are too much projectiles incoming to the merc i cant remember who was disappearing from the game - merc or the creeps
not even you were going to get an error but also your fps was dropping like crazy
this bug still persist in diablo resurrection also so lowering the VFX helps in someway at dealing with the problem in diablo resurrection
simply just use chains of honor if going uber for survivability or treachery for the best attack speed
as for delirium - it messes with every curse that you have in the game as well as making monster run around and so on
the insane procing(%) of this item makes the things too bad so just use something else

 

earlier like 3-4 ladders resets ago when everyone was using windows 10 (mostly) to prevent errors - there was compatibility not only for the launcher , diablo ii exe , game exe and also running the game with -w parameters
i have never used any compatibility mode at windows 10 and didnt had any errors at all besides (delirium and fortitude)
even opening multiple exes from desktop shortcut called loader exe (for multiple instances of diablo 2 already windowed mode so you can transfer your items or help your other chars progress faster)
ddraw had better graphics back than but if you try to join a game when using a maphack (i am using bh because it is just simple)you were getting error
as for glide wrapper you have those delays when quitting or creating new game (even joining baal run as this game gets filled quickest) like delays for 5-10 seconds
when someone wants more runs and be faster probably they will play the game the old fashion without having to lose any second
as for D2GL it is brand new innovation probably we will see what happens when the next ladder starts as i already gave everything from all my chars to other people to have fun as i am doing every time before the ladder reset
because i am expecting the real fun at the new season
going for holy fire zealot early and than making barb with 2 GF's as i like GFS more than having low range phase blades because berserk axes combo grief + beast doesnt let you farm without repairing
also if you can give some attack speed to gf's for reaching some breakpoint at this calculator Diablo 2 Attack Speed Calculator | ias calc
because it is the most relevant from the others

this screenshot is just a test
the total you need to get for the next breakpoint is 55 using 2 colossus blades
so it can be split at 20 per sword and using ias max jewel on the other or just shael until you find better jewel
5% less attack speed and you are falling at a lower breakpoint


the requirements for this sword are only barbarian
only he has the most strenght out of other chars
deadly strike is almost useless when you already have weapon mastery highlord scales the best with your character level
20% deadly strike can be replaced with 20% ias
open wounds damage output (which is 8 seconds when it proc so the bigger your character level is than more damage you will deal as well as breaking passive regeneration from the monsters (thats why mal rune when inserted to weapon causes prevent monster heal - not useful against ubers ) only open wounds works there so you need dracula grasp for sure when doing ubers) scales with the char level so it can be called (grief) or i forgot how the word for forbidden (banned) items in duel was called (like dracul grasp and eth bugged exile)
as for the crushing blow it can be removed also (you can use guillame's face) and compensate much further than that paired with gore riders as well
as GF is giving you attack rating bonus , maximum damage per level , life , attributes and so on
the higher level you are and more attack rating you have less pointless it gets to kill regular (white colored) monsters
so comparing it to grief which ignores target defense (works only on white mobs) you are missing the -25% target defense
which not only works in pvp but also on bosses
so you can socket main hand(GF(grandfather)) weapon with eth rune and secondary with 15% ias jewel and other bonuses as well

ez workaround for the breakpoints which will be bis
main hand eth colossus blade BOTD paired with the NEW GF socketed with 15 ias jewel ++
using whirlwind
2.5 frames per attack
output 10 attacks per seconds
gl fighting with the beast and the new meta

 

Gambling started early for me got a lot of gold to burn before the ladder. What if I get my dream gambled item right before reset!?

Gamble refresh is now available

I thought Gamble would be like in D2R

 

Gamble is not exactly like d2r. The only thing that has changed is that there is a refresh button, a faster change of sale of the items themselves, when you buy the item itself in d2r you can buy until you run out of gold, and until the new patch you press the refresh button and continue searching, without pressing the space or escape button. For more info, the new patch is uploaded, download it and try it.

 

Are these removed already? Charsi does not offer second imbue to me and Larzuk does not charge golds for socket.

I just checked out of curiosity.
The both quests work.
- Charsi charges 900K gold now.
and Larzuk 50k

P.S.: I remember well that for the Imbue quest from Charsi, a character must be at least level 8 in order to make the quest.

 

Is your game updated? Both work fine for me.

Start game with launcher and will always update automatically to new patch.

 

Hey Guys wich maphack do u preffer most , BH or Sting ?

 

I cannot Every time I do that, I also have to do manual patch for the CPU Fix + the built-in Sting MH, cuz the launcher changes back the D2Client.dll and the D2Win.dll, and there is no option to ask it not to do so, or ask it to also include those packages after the upgrade.

By the way who are developing that launcher?

 

If you are playing with 8 game client on an old laptop - like I do - and wanna save CPU, do not use BH. BH alone uses more cpu than the game client itself. For that reason, I am using Sting.

 

BH has an option to activate cpu fix in settings but maybe you never check that and no difference notice in cpu usage either its a loot filter, don't know how old is your laptop but must be rly old then
