I don't think it is a good idea gifting random people such expensive items. Perhaps ex-changing gifts with your friend would be better.

 

Ex-changing gifts is better idea, cause a lot of players will pretend that they are poor.

Pretty expensive items to just "give away" to people you don't even know,but there's nothing in the rules that states you can't so,it's your decision.....

It's not bad things, however boosting other players sometimes turns out to be a bad thing in one reason only. I've personally seen many players giving up on the game after getting the items they want for 1-2 characters saying simply they have nothing to run for. Imagine the feeling of getting the item you've been running Pindleskin for months dropping to you instead of getting it as an X-mas gift.
