best 1hand wpn for barb

I was wondering, has anyone tested which is the best 1 hand wpn for a barb? My personal top 2 would be grief and gf, but im not sure... Did anyone make the calculation for dps?

Well best 1 hand weapon could possibly be rare with 550ed eth repair 2 sock modifier rare rarity collosus sword or blade something like that.

yup, that would be nice... Next time i drop eth rare elite sword with 450% ed, 2 open sockets and self repair mod, ill definitely save it for some char... (like melee sorc, or such).

 

Botd and last wish could be good too in term of survability.
Lw its fade and life tap and on berseker axe u could go up To 550 damage.
You could also get a Nice rare etheral kikckass mod sword or axe up To 600 and more one hand.
But GF basically give u everything u need

 

LW is nice wpn, but i rly dont like repairing stuff, so i prefer indestructible wpns but thanks for input!

Super sick axe.

 

I have an IK conc barb that does VERY well. Slow killing groups yes, but even with the IK set, he lives through everything. I have to believe a rune word/unique geared conc barb with a GFather would be excellent. Just slow killing groups. Would look sexy though
edit; just noticed the shield. Unless you are doing HC or PVP, I think you are losing a lot of kill speed because you don't need more survivability on a 2 hander conc barb. Well geared you will not die.

well, that conc barb how i picture it is quick cs barb, so ill be killing only 4 mobs there :]

The weapon mod is called Armagedden on berserker axe, 450% ed, + 2 ohm = 550, etc + repair.

Have we considered beast? Grief +beast is meant to be a high end damage build, especially for WW, and botd can over take in situations.

Godfather (I haven't seen this servers Godfather), but it has a range advantage, so something that grief might just fall short on, godfather might hit. 2h weapons are often uses in LLD.

@jah did u see the grandfather on this server? It has stats at least challenging grief, if not overcomming it, thats why is so much fuzz around

 

Idk the exact ed and md/lvl values but y i know the stats.A perfect gf on a lvl 90 char shoul deal ~ 400 avg dmg(corect me if i'm wrong idk exact value).A perfect grieg baxe does ~450 and a pb a little lower.Now u might think that because it has other usefull mods it might outweight grief but let's take a look.
For PVM purpouses
-both weapons have itd even tough i see no use for it as i doubt anyone has a problem with hit chance vs monsters..
-%ar kind of useless, same reason as above
-lifesteal is nice but u can get this mod from so many items that it doesn't really matter
-crushing blow, useless vs non boss monsters as u should 1-2 shot anything anyway and u already get 50% cb from gulli gores.then again it doesn't hurt and the more the better but still it's really not relevant
-deadly strike is very nice but considering u get so much deadly from gores highlords gulli crit from pasive i'd rather crit a little bit less with my consistent 400+ dmg than crit more with gf min dmg for half the dmg of grief ..
-open wounds already on so many items equipped it's irelevant ..
-25 all att is nice but considering it's str req the + att that go to str are sort of useless the ones that go to vita are not booable dex is w/e ..
-80 life is nice i guess not that u really have problems with life on a pvm barbarian
OFC it's still a nice weapon and it does the job so if u have one might aswell use it
For PVP purpouses
-the consistency of dmg is overwhelming.The barbarian is not a range character so u need to get in close to hit casters and that can be hard. Not doing consistent dmg is a major problem
-considring how ww works 4/8/12 frame having a really heawy hitting primary weapon and doing small multiple whirls is so much mpore advantagious for grief ..
the only use i can see for it is for barb vs barb purpouses as the bonus ar can be handy coupled with some lucky high roll crits. Vs smiter u should win anyway as it's an easy matchup for barb.Than again all of the smiters that i have seen us bugged eth hoz zodded with 6k+ ded( that can make things a little tougher for a novice pvper.
