You're looking for a 5 socket eth merc weapon,or what?If that's what you're looking for,I'm pretty sure I've got one...

 

If you wanted 5 sox, Larzuk would have given that for free (always gives maximum sockets on any non-magical item, and cryptic axe has a max of 5 sox). Keep the 3sox one, maybe someone will use it for something, at least you get your gul back

 

Bases with Ilvl 1-25 = 3 sockets max (unless their max socket count is lower)
Bases with Ilvl 26-40 = 4 sockets max (unless their max socket count is lower)
Bases with Ilvl 40+ = max sockets always

So, if you have ETH Flail from (let say...) Cows normal with Ilvl 28 - you can get 4 sockets for future HOTO!
And by the way, the Map hack/s show, the maximum possible number of sockets...
