    Thnx for reply.

So i had some issues where the file didnt load so i reinstalled the maphack and opened d2hackmap.cfg and replaced the content with the first code on this thread. Should it theoretically work now if I restart diablo?

They are not hidden, read section 3 from this guide http://forum.europebattle.net/threads/sting-maphack-configuration-guide.537869/ so you understand how a line of config works.

LE: If a line has // in front that mean that the line is disabled, to enable it just remove them
    Example
    Disabled
//Good Gold Number: 5000 // Everything below this amount will be hidden
    Enabled
Good Gold Number: 5000 // Everything below this amount will be hidden

Two ways of doing this, using Sting:
    1. Add this line in the cfg file:
Item Colours [Battle Staff, xxx Staff, yyy Staff][0,5]: 12, -1 OR
    Item Colours [1001, 1005, 1020][1,5]: 12, -1
In any of the lines above add all the staves that can get 4 sox, from the .vcb file (consult offcial Bnet page to see what staves to add), either by name (first line) or by corresponding number from the .vcb file (I gave some inaccurate examples, replace them), each item separated by ",". The [1,5] part from the end means items with 0 or 4 sockets. Also, I picked colour 12 (some green) for the item, replace it with what suits you.
    2. Add a line in the .vcb file and another in the .cfg file:
    VCB file:
Memory_staff: Battle Staff, xxx Staff, yyy Staff OR
    Memory_staff: 1001, 1005, 1020
Same as above, only without square brackets and separated by ",". "Memory_staff| is just a name that I picked for the item group, you can call it as you like, only make sure to use exactly the same name in both vcb and cfg files.
    CFG file:
    Item Colours [Memory_staff][1,5]: 12, -1
So, basically, in the cfg file you tell the program to use a variable (an array of items, more exactly) from the vcb file and look for any of those in the game.

Mind you, Sting has no way of seeing whether an item has a certain staffmod of a certain level (in the case you're asking for, lvl 3 Energy Shield), so it will show you all staves that you have listed, with 0 / 4 sox. For this kind of specific filtering, you may want to use BH maphack, which supports this feature.

hello, guys! I haev a problem with hiding items. First at all, i use the maphack of this server, so, the configuration is the default, only i change the line of the "quickback to town", wich i dont use. Well, my problem comes when i try to copy+paste the code of hiding items. When i save the file and play diablo, all the MH doesn't work. I mean, literally, the game leaves of read the d2hackmap.cfg file. I don't know why...

Hi there, after you saved the cfg file you will need to reload the config ingame. Also when adding more lines to the cfg make sure you don't add or have same line twice.

Are there any useful magic items at all? Why not: Item Colours[Item][4]: -2,-2 ?
I heard there is a single socketed monarch there, but never saw anything useful in this category.

Few examples that quickly come to mind:
    - 3 traps / 40 ias / 3 ls greater talons / claws
    - 3 Jav skills / 40 ias / 3 jav skills javelins
    - 3 warcries / 3 bo ++ barb helm
    - 3 fire skills / 3 enchant or 3 cold skills / 3 blizzard ++ sorc orb
    - JMOD (Jeweler's monarch of deflection)
    - ATS (Artisan's tiara of speed)
    - 3 / 20 or 2 / 20 coronets (including tiaras and diadems)
And there are more. Each of these items has an extremely tiny chance to spawn, in this combination. So some of them may be worth being shown in your config.

Interesting... Is it possible to add these items after general "Item Colours[Item][4]: -2,-2 " or it won't work this way? If so, I would be thankful for a code...

Yes, this is the way to do it. First, you tell the maphack to hide all magic items, then you tell it to show magic items that match specific criteria (type, for instance). So, it would go like this:
Item Colours[All][4]: -2,-2 // hide all magic items
Item Colours[Greater Talons,Maiden Javelin,Tiara][4]: -1,1 // examples of magic items to show, feel free to add whatever you want

The sequence is important, mind you, as the maphack program executes instructions one after another. Thus, if you first tell it to show specific items, then to hide them all (the inverse order for the example above), you'll end up hiding what you want to be shown. And remember to always save and test after each operation, this will keep you on the right track.

    Cheers guys,
Can anybody help me with a dilemma i have regarding items color on sting maphack ?!
So, basically i want good runes (26+) to have RED text color and to be highlighted with GREEN color on the map.

    Rune Colours[26+]:1, 0x84

The problem is that the second code "0x84" is not working. The text color is RED, but on the map they are shown with dark red instead of GREEN.
The Text Color "1" comes with its own map color, regardless the code I'm adding after the coma ,

    Thanks in advance !

Nothing much happen. The rune changed his color to default (orange) but completely disappeared from maphack (no more highlighted).

    Issue solved !
Kudos to @Nopik and @TheDarkestHate for their assistance too.

Solution was to switch default item show to "1" (from initial "0"), and to toggle the VK_9 button.
    Switch Item Show Mode: VK_9
Default Item Show Mode : 1

If anybody have a brainless time, trying to figure it out like me, maybe this will help ! :ROFLMAO:
