Solved Game crashes

    These game crashes started to show up and more and more frequent in the last 3 days.

    It happens ingame, when my mouse cursor getting over an item in the bottom rows of the game stash. Using Sting integrated, 800x600 windowed, multiple clients. The last message is 0xc0000005.

    Is there an advanced way to get details on a crash?

    Anything special you've done in these past 3 days like adding some new things to the Maphack config? Have you done any other experiments with the game client or do you have multiple folders in your computer? I'll send you a PM maybe there's some clue in some of the log files but C0000005 is a common access violation error code on Windows.

    Hi, I have a similar error since I respec my sorc to lightning and make some run Nihlathak runs. But the game is suddenly crushing without any error message. I just couldn't find any pattern.
    Is there a log file which I can debug?
    So far, this crush only happens in Nihlathak runs. I make runs of Travincal, Meph, Arcane Sanctuary, Ancients Tunnel... without any problem.
    Note: I did not change anything about maphack etc.

    /edit After several tests on @Cem's end, it looks like this was caused by one of the D2GL settings.

    "Strange things" I started to do after the crashes, not before. I probably did a reinstall? Unsure. Sry :(

    Crashes seem to happen when I send my mouse cursor over an item, and it would display item info - but crashes instead. I cannot reproduce the issue, so I cannot pinpoint on Sting integrated. As this is ladder start, I am changing my item filter many times nowadays. Would not say, that is anything "strange".

    Same happens to me randomly every couple of hours, showing 0xc0000005 as error. Made no new modifications at all on maphack or anything else.

    /edit According to the author, this happened before updating the client files and the error didn't occur anymore after the game client has been updated properly.

    So this is not the same scenario, as I said C0000005 is a common access violation error code on Windows and it could occur due to multiple reasons, starting with the 3rd party tools that are being in use, other software modifications, various other active applications running and so on. I'll send you a PM and see if the logs are showing anything but my first suggestion would be to disable all 3rd party tools, run the game in window mode (-w) and see if you still experience that. Basically, you should be running the game as default when you encounter any errors.

    Just playing, but I start to suspect it happens more often when my inventory is open or transfering items from inv to chest.
    Somedays I could crash two or three times a day, or more. Some others just one, its very random.

    /edit According to the author, this happened before updating the game files and the error didn't occur anymore after the game client has been updated properly.
