    Hi,

I really dislike using BH Maphack and prefer Sting, but I’ve noticed a couple of limitations:
    1. Gold Withdrawal: Sting seems limited by character level when withdrawing from the stash. Is there a way to enable withdrawing the full 5M using Sting?
    2. Quick Item Movement: Are there any options or settings in Sting to quickly move items between cube, stash, and inventory?
Any guidance or tips on configuring Sting for these features would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Hey there @lukata,
    1. Unfortunately, you cannot withdraw the entire 5M gold at once since Sting is not an open source maphack and it follows the original game values when it comes to gold.
    2. Yes there are, use CTRL + MB1/2. Have in mind this will work properly on native 800x600 resolution and not on widescreen, again due to Sting MH following original game resolutions only.

    1st question - don’t know tbh
Regarding second - ctrl+left click (or left than right click) transfers item form area where cursor is to opposite. But… one thing I faced - it disables if you play wide screen (1024x768)

    re-opening this question.

I have configured the D2GL and now it does not work on 800x600 as well / nor on any other resolution/. Could the reason be due to the vertical and horizontal stretch? As far as i understand there is some kind of a background mapping of positions where quick transferred items should land and once you play with the resolution this mapping gets scrambled, am i at the wrong path?

EDIT: removed vertical and horizontal stretch, got to 800x600 - still not transfering where items need to go. When i go lclick +rclick from the horadric cube the item moves somewhere else in the same cube.

Also reminding on the issue I've opened in another topic about the flickering when activating HD cursor/Text in D2GL - would be great if any feedback comes by the admins :)

Sting Maphack is hardcoded with the original game resolution. If you returned to 800x600 and it still doesn't work, then most likely some resolution settings are still changed. I would reinstall the game in a separate folder and start from scratch without D2GL then change settings one at a time while troubleshooting, otherwise you may also give BH Maphack a try.

I've replied in the designated thread for this one, but there's not much feedback unfortunately considering you seem to be the only one with that issue.

I do have a inquiry similar to the original poster. Quick moving multiple gems (of the same color) into the cube. People have told me shift+left click. But i find that only works for tp scrolls and not the gems. Is it due to my using sting?

    @Gix @Lightinkid
I would provide a summary on how I solved my issues (after more than 15 reinstalls) and what are the key points:
    1. It obviously depends on which "base" of the game youd use. I concluded that for some reason i am having 3 game install packages, 1 portable and two normal but obviously different versions. At the end it really mattered which is the one I used for base. Essential point here is that all 3 versions have been shared on the site (one of them) and the other two were shared somewhere in the forum. I will share the name of the archive that finally worked for me if someone can dig it up and maybe point towards it in the website that would be great. Will edit my post later on pointing to the exact archive name.
    2. It is REALLY essential that Gix's install guide is followed to.the.point. with all exceptions, DEP, exclusions in the antivirus ( i have also added exclusions in my Firewall as well), start as admin etc. Every single one of them matters!
    3. If you want to get rid of all errors, mistakes, etc. it is best (from my experience) not to implement any D2GL's or other improvement remaps. Just use the game as is. If you want windowed mode just use -w at the end of the target. Yes, you will not have fancy fonts and customisation of screen size but you will also get rid of all unwanted errors. HINT: if the window is too small you can scale your desktop "zoom" options to 125. HINT2 if you want to have one window bigger than the rest - doublecklick the name bar of the window and it will expand while still remain a window.
    4. I am a STING user. Is far as i understand BH is the maphack that has less issues, however I have spent hours customizing my STING and also there are certain features I dont like loosing by migrating to BH. No worries, if you are a STING user - just use the standalone version. Yes, it might be less convenient but also solves a set number of issues.
    5. Fast transfer of gems - if you follow my guidelines (not including 3dfx, d2gl or any other improvement but use your game in the most native install state possible) and keep 800x600 resolution for the windows the fast transfer works as a charm either with CTRL+ LCLICK or LCLICK+RCLICK (both in windowed and fullscreen mode and both using STING MH- so no issue with it).

I hope this helps someone else as I relly put quite a lot of effort into reinstalling multiple times just to understand where things break.

Glad to hear that, @Intacto. Being an older hardcoded maphack, Sting is locked to native game resolutions and won't do well in a widescreen environment or any sort of resolution adjustments, while BH is a more modern approach and it is compatible with all resolutions. Despite that, a lot of people prefer Sting still because it's easier to configure and got used to it over the years.

@Lightinkid, as long as you are on 800x600 you should be good. Have in mind Sting MH follows all original game settings and this includes original stash size and placement too even if ours has been expanded.
