isnt it needed ? doesnt do anything about the game. just so we can kill the cow king.

Personally I would like to see the "Cow King" replaced by another boss from the game so that the quest is never completed allowing characters to repeatedly open cows even if you do kill the boss. The result would be many more "Public" Cow runs. Currently ALL my cow runs are private games because I'm always worried about some idiot killing my king.

Also it would really be cool if the quantity of cows that spawn be doubled.

But the drop and exp on cow level is irrelevant. So there is no need to increase the sum of the cows, if you don't increase the level of the cows (they need at least 85+) and items tables on them. Statistically speaking one WSK run is at least 10+ times more valuable than a cow run.

 

Sorry reign you totally miss the point.

1. Hell cows is a great place to farm end game white "Base Items" and of course high runes. (90% of all my high runes are found at cows.)
2. Characters that have just finished Nightmare will be able to leech experience off those public Hell cow runs as well as collect gear that the farmers leave behind.

Yes I agree WSK is a valuable and important run, but lets be honest. How many people join dangerous WSK runs? or how often is there a public run named "WSK-5"?

 

well if you farm cows much then of course u find most of your hrs there.
but imo cows are only good for charms/gems/sockets! farming cows for runes (ONLY) is definitely the wrong move.
also cows cant drop griffon etc.

but cows are fun and there should be more public cow runs!! but the exp rate/time is too low

 

I seriously doubt there will be many level 50 to 75 characters that are yet to make their way through Hell that will sniff at the opportunity to leech xp in a Cow run.

 

increase the exp from cows for chars with level 85+.
so it will get interesting for ppl to run cowruns.

 

I do not agree that the cow level should be increased. Cows are not that hard to farm.

 

this belongs on you or your party. same goes for baalruns.
you can do cows in 5 minutes or in 20.
you can do baalruns in 3 minutes or in 10.

the only thing that makes bhs harder = teleporting

and the point is to increase the exp a little. cows shouldnt give the same exp as baalruns ofc. but atm its senseless to level in cowruns with highlevel chars.

I've been playing in some other private servers, where this exact thing was done with cow level.. and it works pretty well

With these rates, you will be a fool to farm hell cows just for exp and runeword items. Aren't there rigged places where you can find superior elite white items?!

You need to increase the level of the mobs in order to provide you with the same exp/drop rates best zones do have (like wsk).

You don't have to be a scientists to see that Griswold, key runs, Travincals/Mephisto, WSK and Baal runs are pretty much the only places (if you don't count Pits and Tunnels) people will eventually farm. Putting a wp, or removing the cow king will not solve anything, maybe just to remove some sort of fatigue condition lazy people have when entering a cow level.

You either waste time by modifying key areas of the game, or you don't. Work in vain if you ask me. I wouldn't be able to justify people having to download a new patch just because someone is lazy enough to open a cow level with another char.

Anyway, that's my narrowed and logical opinion on this matter.

 

Better change the cowking into other mob. Or add the cowking immune to all (Dmg resists:150, F/C/L/P/M resist 150) and lower its damage output.

Besides you double posted, your view on this game is distorted!

Diablo was never about "fun", it's a ARPG about gear that that's that!
There is a reason why the cow level was nerfed in D2 along the years. Lots of idiots where farming just the cow level. In 1.0.9 for example some player never saw the face of Mephisto or other bosses, it was merely a game to support a mod, the mod being "The Cow Level" which all the players played. From Zod, to 15/40 jewels or the best gear in the game, you had it all. And that's just sad. Logically speaking you need to farm the last boss and areas around him, because there lays the worst and most powerful monsters around. You want the best, then fight with the best!

So here is my rational response to your "-1" (freakin` hate this retarded way of disagreeing with people).

If you want fun, farm Griswold, Countess, Pits, Summoner, Tunnels, Travincal, Mephisto, River and Diablo, Halls and Nihlathak and then WSK and Baal, like I do. Now that's a shitload of fun right there, you know because I don't smell like cow poo all the time when I log out!

 

just because u dont like cows, dont call other ppl to farm the areas u do.
i agree that cow level was op many years ago. nobody said that we want the old drop chances back.
all we want is:
remove the king or change him with another mob, so you can open cows as much as u want. AND NO, WE DONT LIKE TO CHANGE CHARS EVERY GAME OR JOIN WITH 2 CHARS JUST TO OPEN COWS!
other people, other play style.
