Is this normal ? It happens very often in areas like Travincal and Countess place ( in my opinion it just happens when there are too many effects/monsters displayed while exiting game. My CPU specs are far far better than Diablo II requires.
    Core i7 proc, 8GB ram, NVIDIA GTX950M , Win10
Does anyone experienced this ? Any ideas of how to fix it ? Thank you!

All good for me and I'm using a similar build like yours. Did you monitored cpu and gpu during this?

Nope but I will and post results.

Edit: Okay just monitored my cpu and gpu usage, heat, etc when playing then exiting game and it's all good. No overheat / overusage when exiting. Any other possible solutions ?

Reinstall video drivers? To me it looks like GPU bottleneck as I used to experience the same on my laptop (not with diablo2 but some other game/app)

LOL! Any way to fix this ? It really slows me down c'mon 5~10 seconds when exiting game ?? Let's say you make 500 countess runs ( with auto-tele you make 2 runs per minute or atlast that how much I make ) so let's make a basic calc. Let's say for 500 runs half of them took 5 seconds to exit game and other half took 10 seconds, so ... 250x5 = 1250 and 250x10 = 2500, right ? Then 2500+1250/60 = 62.5 ( minutes slowed down and thats about an HOUR! ). 500 / 2 = 250 ( minutes ) which equals to 4.16 hours. You waste 1 hour per every 4 hours and thats ridiculous :((( Need to find a way to fix this somehow .. Can VR be disabled ? Which are the latest drivers that aren't VR ?

Edit: Are you sure it's the VR drivers ? My laptop has 2 video cards ( one is nvidia and other is intel ) i switched diablo 2 to intel video card and it is completely the same ( atlast 5 seconds upon exiting game )

Why don't you try downgrading the video drivers then? Intel HD graphics are known to cause problems in many games and any cheap dedicated gpu will do better, however I run latest drivers on my laptop and I don't experience the issues that you do.
