When i try to execute the 1.13c patch from the desktop folder I created for the game I am unable to run it. It says the game does not need this patch as it is up to date, referencing my retail install on a different drive. One other thing of note, I am unable to even launch the game pre patch, it gives me Error 1: Unable to run, try running D2VidTst, but i cannot launch D2VidTst. Any ideas?

Looks like the Fog.dll is faulting for some reason, causing D2VidTst to fail
    Exception code 0xc00000fd

This means you have 1.14 installed and that's what the message is telling you. As per our instructions you will need to reinstall diablo2 since you cannot downgrade the game to a previous version if you have 1.14, that's one of the downside of using the latest patch. You may use one of our download links to get the full client from here, already patched to 1.13c or re-install the game using your original CD in case you have one, just make sure not to use the blizzard web installer as that will automatically update the game to 1.14 version and you won't be able to downgrade.
