Solved Game wont start

I installed the diablo 2 client, then ran the usa battle. now when i click on the usa battle icon to load the game it shows up with the big icon then shuts right back down. I did run as admin and still same thing. computer has windows 10 pro, i disabled windows defender. anything im missing? Thanks

 

Hey there @Peterbilt ! You should also try setting up compatibility mode - use Windows XP SP 2 or 3 and give it another go.

 

I have tried switching the compatibility mode to xp sp2.

Ive tried both executable. however i have not tried windows mode. I had McAfee but i uninstalled it since i read it could be a problem. I just uninstalled d2, downloading again and give it another go. If that doesnt work, would either of you be interested in doing the team view i think its called, and see if you see something im doing wrong? Thanks again

Sometimes the game is quite demanding especially to settings.

1. Set compatibility on your D2VidTst and run it ( As Administrator ) When it's ready, Set 2D.

2. After the test is done, set compatibility ( Win7 ) On the following .exe files / Game, Loader, etc.

3. You have to do step 2 with MH.exe ( Inside your MH Folder ) If you want to use it without probs.

Well turns out after the reinstall and following all instructions completely im in the game and playing. However when i try to install plugin on d2hackmap it says access is denied. I didnt see a guide for installing the maphack

Im an idiot after all, forgot to run hackmap as admin. sorry for spamming. i think im good to go now, appreciate all the help guys.
