Well...I've done around 250-300 runs in the last 2 days and I haven't got 1 rune over Lem...is this normal?

I've done over 200 runs of Nihl still nothing good...

    I do have low MF...

200 Nihlathak runs is nothing, really. I've done over 1000 on my bad days and still got bad drops for days. Usually after 3k ( not to get discouraged, but with the people I've talked about this, thats pretty much when the drops started coming ) you start finding some useful stuff. You can get lucky, though, but on a regular basis I wouldn't expect anything on the first ~3k runs. You can get something, but I wouldn't expect it.
After all runs are below 15 seconds :)
If pure runes is all you are after, then Cow runs with a CE Necro would yield best results, then Chaos Sanctuary and Travincal.
If you only care about end results, Nihlathak is probably the best place to farm, you can find runes there too, and items, which can be traded for runes. So, in terms of runes, Nihlathak is probably your best bet, but it involves trading too. If you don't wanna bother with that and go with the slower, imo, ways, you can farm Cows, CS, Trav and what I wouldn't suggest , unless you are a beginner, Countess.

And an additional detail - if Bosses is what you are farming, don't bother with MF. If you are doing Nihlathak over and over again, focus on killing speed. If you are farming monsters, you might want to keep your MF above 300-400%. Also, a personal preference, but thats what I found to be working when I was playing.

@Quinneczech I do all kind of runs,Pit,Countess,Summoner etc depends on what I focus on that day...

@klaus Well, the thing is that I said I did 200 that day,not in total....but anyway,I do know the game,I find it weird tho in that many runs, not one decent thing dropped...

Also Nihl runs don't take 15 sec...I've got 90-130 ping (fuck if I know why,I have a 1GB/s connection) but for some reason,I have somewhat lag on the server.... So Nihl/Countess runs usually take me ~45 sec - 1 min.... I'll keep trying...but it's weird that I don't find anything,I'm thinking about doing another char and MFing with that....

You're forgetting something important here, the thread title is "MF Runs..." and he's talking about runes and low MF while MF doesn't affect runes drop, never did and never will. Next, your average ping is not the reason of your ~45sec - 1 min run time and has nothing to do with your 1Gbps/connection either, you would get the same results with half of that simply because it doesn't make any difference at all, although you should have atleast half less considering your geolocation that most players using the same provider as yours are around ~50ms latency. Now, just because klaus or other people are doing faster runs it doesn't mean everyone has the same experience/skill or damage to do it as fast and if it takes you a minute for a Nihl run then you should rather blame your weak build. I can see that happening for Countess but not for Nihl, unless your character isn't strong enough. Also I agree that 200 nihl runs is an insignificant number, sure you may get lucky within the first few runs but don't count on that to happen very often.

As a conclusion, there is nothing wrong. You're an old player and you should know it's all about luck. MF has has no influence over runes drop. Build a stronger character and focus on doing as many runs as possible in the shortest amount of time, this is how you increase your chances. Some have a better experience with Cows, others with Travincal or Nihlathak and so on. Try them all for a good amount of runs and see which one works best for you.

To sum it up - best way to find stuff is just play and enjoy the game.
Trust me, if all you do is farm just to find stuff, you will feel emptiness when that certain item you want so much drops. Because all you do is putting all your enthusiasm into looking for that item, you will have no clue what to do when u get it :]

As I said in my post, I did over 1k runs in a single day, not in total. But when counting total runs, drops began at 3000+ runs. Also, the longevity of the run has nothing, well almost nothing, to do with your skill level. I would consider anything even close to 20 seconds a horrible run, horrible. Hammerdins are the fastest for that type of task, I've heard other people using Nova sorc with more FCR that gets about the same run-time ( you can do it in like 11-12 seconds, but it doesnt happen every single run ), but you will die from time to time, due to bad spawns. Hammerdin is the safest, and in my opinion the fastest, overall, and probably the easiest to build and dress up, for that specific task.
A very crucial factor, without auto-teleport, and there are some versions that are faster than other, there is no way you are getting to below 15 seconds by hand, no way.
Also, you need the "Quick next game key" option from your maphack, or whatever it was called.
Once you get your utilities right, with a hammerdin do not use holy shield, once you create a game start pumping the Vigor aura hotkey, move on to the WP and once you select the HoP WP , switch weapons, use Battle Orders only, no BC, switch weapons again, then hit AutoTP hotkey, press it again when you are in Nihlathak's zone and finish him. Thats it.
The rest of it is just getting to do it a bit faster, which happens after a certain amount of runs. If you do this, your runs will start at below 15 seconds and will improve as you go.
Hammerdin is the easiest, because when you are in his zone and press the AutoTP hotkey it teleports you straight onto his head, so you only need to switch to hammers, cast two or three depending on your setup and thats it.
You also need to use a good config of your MH that ignores a lot of the trash items, to make sure that whatever drops must be picked up.
I do not really recommend objectifying the game so much, but if you want to be efficient - thats the way to go.
I've done these things for research purposes and had fun while doing it, if you don't have fun - simply don't do it.
Simply complaining about bad drops after 200 nihlathak runs is just ridicilous, if you think that's a lot, I can only imagine how long you've ran the other areas.
The server has increased drops, but it aint a fun-server.
There is absolutely no argument that MF affects rune drops, but in certain areas ( if you are not farming bosses only ), it can increase your rune gain (you will find better items, which in terms can be traded).
Do I recommend switching your farming character? That depends solely on you. In this patch Hammerdin is a horrible farming hero, time-wise, and if not for farming Nihlathak, I wouldn't even consider using him for anything, really, whether the Lightning sorc's excel at other places too.
Purely for Nihlathak farming, I would rank the builds like :
1st - Hammerdin - In case you were to want to stack magic find, which I do not recommend for Nihl at all, this would be the easiest way to do so. But I'm ranking him first because of killing speed, not MF.
2nd - Nova Sorceress - Even though not tested by me , I've heard a lot of good things about it from other players, some even claimed that she does faster runs than Hammer's.
3rd - CE Necromancer - I've gotten to 13 seconds runs on a regular basis, what I like about this particular hero is that in this time, you can clear the whole zone around him , and the monsters can drop every rune in the game. Yes, they are normal monsters, but you are doing a lot of runs after all, so it adds up quickly. Whether the other two classes really suck at this.
Most of the drops come from Nihlathak primarily, but its not something to be ignored.
See? When you objectify the game so much, your mind get's fu**ed up.
Thats why having fun is more important :)
    Best of luck

Edit: For the Hammerdin you don't need anythin really. Just get an Enigma, the rest of the gear is free. Ideally , you would want to have 125 FCR for the last frame, but 75 ( If I remember correctly ) would be sufficient enough too.
Get any torch, any anihillus, and stack some small charms with life and you're good to go.

Well, this got blown out of proportions,I was only implying if people have experienced shit drops with low mf,I don't care about 1000 runs 1 mil runs,I don't care about fast time or anything,I play the game mostly to MF,I rarely to never PVP,I am a PvM player always have, always will. I play a game to relax, not to overthink shit like :" I can do a run 1 second faster with auto-tele" I don't care for that...either way.

What I do most in D2 is rush new guys, help them start,do Baal runs and chat...

@Gix @inayat @TimmyDeezNuts Somebody please close this thread,if possible move it to "trash"...
