Announcement Diablo II Ladder Reset - 10 December 2021

Greetings Adventurers,

Sharpen your axes and restring your bows ... Season 9 is coming on Friday, 10 December 2021. Get ready for the ladder reset!
Alongside the ladder reset we will be releasing a new patch, changelog should be available during the next days or the following week.



On the day of Friday, December 10th, we’ll be conducting a maintenance in order to reset the Diablo II ladder. The realm will be unavailable for a few minutes and during this time all existing ladder characters will be converted to non-ladder. All characters and items being converted to non-ladder will remain intact so they will not be lost, but once converted these characters will no longer have access to ladder content such as ladder-only rune words. Please keep in mind that due to our long-term ladders, the vast majority of our players are playing ladder characters only.

This ladder reset, like all those before it, creates a clean slate where all ladder characters begin at level 1 with no previous items to help them. To participate, simply wait until the Diablo II realms return to service on December 10, log in to the server, and select the “Ladder Character” checkbox when creating a new character. You can track ladder character leveling progress by clicking on the Ladder button from the main Diablo II in-game interface. You won't need to change anything on your side, you will still be able to log in with the same accounts that you own and use the same game version. To participate in the new season all you have to do is create a new Ladder Character once the ladder has been reset and if you wish to use your old nickname you can delete your previous non-ladder character and take back your name.

As an appreciation towards those who supported the server recently and right before the reset, 50% of the contributed amount will be reimbursed if you acquired any items between 1 November 2021 - 10 November 2021 and 100% of the contributed amount will be reimbursed if you acquired any items between 11 November 2021 and the reset date. If you are eligible for reimbursement in the new ladder contact us through our support email. The process will take several days after the new season has started. All previously purchased items will not be lost, they will all remain intact together with your characters being transferred to non-ladder. More details about items reimbursement will be provided a few days after the new ladder starts as the webshop will not be available at the beginning.

Some of the old threads have been archived in the past, @ameth so the 2014 one and those before 2012 are missing from that list.

 

We'll always maintain the blizzlike concept so no worries about that, you'll also have plenty of time to check things out.

Glad to hear that and who knows maybe one day Blizzard will allow it, but until then Legacy shall keep its uniqueness and popularity.
