I went to check my profile page and saw a drop-down selector to pick my country. After selecting a country and adding text to the location field and saving, the location text shows on profile only, and when editing the profile page, the country drop-down is no longer available. Is this a bug of some kind?
It's not a bug, the Country selection is editable only once. In case someone selects a random Country during registration, he can visit his personal details page and correct that.
So, does it matter for anything important? (I was trying to make a joke paired with Location field text so Country is not currently accurate)
It's just for internal statistics, "Location" is the field that will show up on your profile if you wanted to.
OK, sorry your stats are a little off and it says someone lives in the world health organization now, heh. (The joke was 'Doctor' in the Location field and 'WHO' in the Country selector)
That's all good @starxplor, doesn't have to be fully accurate. You may also change the field more than once now if you want to.
