deleting d2

    hi i want to try battle net diablo 2 , i have deleted my whole tobien diablo 2 , installed the original diablo 2 and still only allow me to play europebattle net
    please help me i love this server but want to try and the original

    Hi,

    Have you tried deleting EuropeBattle.net's registry entries?
    They reside here:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Diablo II
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Battle.net\Configuration

    Afaik D2 does not need to be 'installed' to work, I had mine copied to a pendrive and used for years on different machines to play closed battle.net.
    - That said, d2 should do just fine without these reg keys.

    Nothing bad can happen if you delete only those keys listed above.

    Keep in mind, that in order to play on closed Battle.net you need to have diablo installed using YOUR UNIQUE set of CD Keys.
    Trying anything found on the internet won't get you far.
