Solved Ignore thread on forum?

    I see a way to follow a thread, but is there a way to ignore a thread so it does not show up under new posts search?

    Not really but I may come up with an addon that does that. What thread do you want to ignore?

    The counting one, specifically, but I imagine there will be others as most forums end up having political discussions, even if they are in a separate category.

    All topics are discussed and described, regardless of whether users are writing there or not. If the topic is not relevant, it may and will be ignored, or a pointless topic, such topics are moderated or deleted.

    I am not sure what this reply means... The counting thread would be not relevant and pointless, but continues to show up in my new posts list. I do not want to stop those who somehow find fun in posting a meaningless number from having their fun, I just want to stop the thread from showing up in my list. I hope I am making sense with this and not stepping on anyone's toes.

    This is a gaming forum, threads don't end up having political discussions but I can understand why you want to hide the counting thread if you're not an active poster in there. I'll see what we can do about that.

    @starxplor, there you go.

    In order to ignore a certain thread that you do not want to see go to Thread Tools > Ignore Thread
    In order to view your ignored threads go to Profile User Bar > Ignored Threads
    In order to stop ignoring a certain thread go to your ignored threads list, visit the thread and select Thread Tools > Unignore Thread
