    My husband was considering buying me an item from the item shop for an early birthday present and I just wanted to ask, when you put down what realm you want it on, (US Realm//EU Realm) the game says "International" on my character screen... so how do I find out what realm I need it delivered to?

    I just purchased a Crown of Ages. I selected USRealm. As far as i know, both realms are interconnected, so I dont think it matters. I'm not 100% sure though, so before he purchases it for you, wait until Gix or someone else can confirm this.

    I think they're interconnected too, but also wasn't sure.

    the reason for it is that us and eu realms were seperate a long time ago. since they are merged now you can choose either us or eu realm on item shop and you will get the item on international.

    We used to have separate realms as @Bglzaborg says that have been merged into an internationa one while using tcp accelerator technology which automatically gets your country ip address and connects you either through the us or eu gateway depending on your location and which one is faster for you so this improves connection a lot for everyone.
    Picking any of the US/EU is fine, if you're from US you can go with that and use the usabattle contact email address, the item will eventually reach your account anyway.
