Solved Maphack on Linux

    Hi,
    Sorry if this has been explained already in a previous thread, I couldn't find any. So I have installed D2 plus the EuropeBattle.net patch on linux and have also downloaded the BH maphack. However everytime I run the D2 Injector nothing happens. It simply "thinks" for few seconds after which the window is closed. Has anyone found a solution for this?

    Hi.
    I check it a lot of times but stings not work on linux for me. Only one work for me is snoogans maphack in linux. But now i use virtualboxed XP. Or dualboot Ubuntu/XP only for diablo.

    edited : and i inject it with surgeon, but really it is 5years ago when i play on Linux, so i dont remember how it work, but i know i cant use autoteleport, so for autotele i use Virtualbox first and now dualboot. But LINUX FOREVER like system.

    Problem with Windows? Reboot.
    Problem with Linux? Be root :)

    Have you tried sting maphack instead?
    Are you using wine? If yes, what version?

    I have used the Sting Integrated version from the forum post here all about setup. It works in wine on Mint but has the issue of crashing if I leave a game in any town except act 5 and join/create a new game. Small price to pay for a working map.

    BH maphack (sting from main site) under Ubuntu is "key deaf".
    E.G. Reload cfg key (VK_NUMPAD9) does not reload the cfg
    E.G. socket protect toggle key (VK_INSERT) does not toggle the socket protect.
