MF runs

Hi all,

I am started playing on this server a couple days ago. I already found myself 2 sojs a vex and ohm rune, it's always rewarding when something nice drops, it reminds me to the old days! I do my runs at Travi , mephisto and countess and sometimes a cow run. I use full tall rasha now and have about 250 mf. But my question is, I only get unique drops. Not a single set item? How is this possible?

Now I am saving gems to sell. Do you guys have other tips for collecting things to get myself some higher runes?

The easiest way to make profit as a new player would be to sell perfect gems, because if you put your mind to it - its a sure way to get a HR in a day. 40 perfect gems = vex, you can double the price for twice as much gems, ie 80 gems are ohm and so on. In Travincal you cannot find set items, if you want set items you'd have to run some place else. A few places that I have had luck with set items are Diablo, Worldstone Keeps 1-3 , Throne of Destruction, Cows.This patch made it meaningless, at least in this server, to me, to farm Andariel, Duriel and Mephisto, you would be wasting your playing time if you farm them. There are quite a few threads here already which discuss the better places to farm and farmers that clear rooms faster than other, you can find them easily on this forum. Travincal is a good place to start, probably the best place to start, as a new player, because councils drop runes up to Cham, they have the best drop for Stones of Jordan rings ( As far as I am concerned, NM Andariel is not an appropriate choice, because a soj is pretty much everything you can get there, so it would not make much sense to farm there ) , they drop quite some gems, not as much found in cows , but still a pretty decent number, and they drop quite some items too, most of them are free, but you can find some items there, whose maxed versions are quite pricey. For example, Eth titans, Arreats Face, Zakarum are just a few items that can bring you a few high runes, if you find them with max stats. It doesnt require much gear for your hero to be effective as well, with just a few items you can get pretty fast clear times. These facts make it in my opinion the best place to start to farm , if you are new to the server, but as soon as your hero is geared up well, you should move to a more profitable area. Areas like Chaos Sanctuary, Worldstone Keeps 1-3, Nihlathak, Mausoleum, Pit 1-2, AT and so on ( Typically 85 level areas ) , thats where the real loot and more pricey items come from. I don't know what set items you are after, but most of them have no real value, there are not so much that are really worth something. Also, because of the higher drops on this server, some people find it more profitable to farm with less MF and more damage in mind ( Helps clearing faster ). Whichever way you choose , it would be your best bet to get as much damage as possible with your farming gear.

There is also a thread for price checks on items, if you get something with max stats you can always post a question there, to find out ~value. A quicker, but less accurate way would be to ask in public chat in game. If by some chance you get a decent item to sell, do not rush it and always find its real value first, then look for somebody to sell it to. For example if you ask "How much do eth titans cost" and some guy replies you in 5 seconds "Ill give you 2 ber for them" , do not rush to sell, thank him for his offer and tell him that you will contact him later if you decide to sell them.

You can sell crappy jewels ( the ones that arent worth anything at all ) and sell them in bulk, any jewels will do, magic - rare - unique, just like you do with gems. Any rainbow facet that isn't 5/5 is considered a crappy.

Remember that guy that became wealthy by farming Andariel, Duriel and Mephisto? Yeah.. neither does anybody else.

Hi, for high runes try Diablo, Baal, Cows hell, you can find set items too
