@gonzaaedu, this is what works best for us based on over 20 years of activity so I hope you won't mind if we are going to stick to our own style. There are multiple threads discussing this already that you could have searched for before opening another thread but at the end of the day ladders will last anywhere from 1 to 2 years in here, and we are not planning to become one of the realms with 3-4 months ladder resets.
There will always be people that may prefer shorter or longer ladder resets and some may never want a ladder reset at all, so pleasing absolutely everyone is impossible but our current ladders duration is pretty much a sweet spot for the majority, however you can always start a new character or switch over to Hardcore, Classic and so on if you want extra challenges. Additionally, ladder resets are also planned around our personal free time as well because most of us have to take days off from work and other responsibilities to ensure everything goes smooth during a new season start.
It's important to note that due to being a fast progressing realm, anyone who starts a new character mid-ladder or later on can always catch up with other players in-game without problems.
