Set items

With luck.
Cow king in hell also can drop set items.
Same with champion packs. But still all about luck.

 

There are no changes regarding set items. All notable changes are listed in our features thread.

 

Well, I've noticed too that for some reason (luck, hmm) set items drop is very low. I mean some other time, 8,9 years ago when I was playing on few Romanian servers, Mephisto drops were very often green ones.
If I farmed Meph here (you're too late, hahaha), I got no green ones, I mean not even ONE green item in 7 months

 

Lol @Tzutzu79, you don't compare drops with other private realms you played long time ago, you compare it with the official servers. If the servers you played on had increased green items drop rates to much higher values it doesn't mean you'll get the same here, d2 servers are not all the same. Also one thing you've noticed by now is that bosses got a 100% unique rate so this will have some effect on low items quality (aka you won't get crappy blue items for a hundred runs and more like you do in bnet) but if you haven't get a single green item in seven months then you're doing something wrong or you're just exaggerating. There are tons of set items in-game, always were and there are no changes made specifically to them as I already stated.
