Hi diablo 2 community when farming for superchests from act3-5 at which player setting i should run superchests for good rune drops? Any suggestions and comments below would be appreciated.
Chests have better drops on p8. However, if you use 8 loaders and farm LK only, its gonna take you a lot of time for a single run. If you are doing Baal runs, you can open the superchests while somebody is going for teleport. People think these superchests are a good way to farm, they are not imo. If you farm a couple of areas in a single game it might be worth passing by, however except for rune drops you cant really find anything else. Yes, charms and jewels drop, but not as often. There are many players that believe player settings do not increase the drops, do not believe them. It is something that has been proved already. So, I understand players that play on SP where you can change the difficulty, it makes more sense to farm it. I also understand the new players that dont have good gear yet who farm it, but once you are geared and able to farm the other zones, I think time spent there on p1 is a waste ( even p8 for that matter ). You can find it entertaining and different in the beginning but its getting boring pretty quickly. Also, most of the runes people find there, although a nice treat for some people, are not something of great value. Most of the people sharing their drops are between Gul and Sur, rarely I see a guy that finds higher runes. It might happen, but doesnt happen on a regular basis. You should be after the good stuff
