Untransmutable Gems

I am having problems with My horadric cube and the gems, I put 3 chipped topaz in and try to transmute them but it does nothing

has anyone else had this problem? and can it be fixed?

 

Perhaps one should first read what changes have been made to the game when you start playing on a new server? Right?

Ah okay, I had read that earlier but had not realized that in upgrading them you did not need more than one of the gem in the cube. Thank you

 

i think everybody made this mistake when he first played on this server. at least i did
