PVP Vita Sorceres HELP

Hi guys, hope you all had a good festive time. I got few questions and hope somebody will be abble to help me out. So i have PvP Blizz sorceres Life, not fully life just yet but I'm working on it.
I have already hit over 17k dmg on blizz, 105 fcr, 86 fhr.. My main questions are about resistances, i've read in one of the forums that's anything over 95 rez isnt countable anymore, is that true? if not is there a maximum rez or breakpoint? i would also like to find out about damage reduction and chance to block? what do you think guys do I realy need it, as most of the players die from my 1, maximum 2 blizzards.

After u die annya rezist are disabled they only work visualy, u need to rejoin/create new game for them to enable. So stacking 30 more rezist to counter this bug is mandatory. There are some chars that require stacked rezist and some that do not:
- Fire sorcs ca only reduce your rezists with facets. They only have 2-3 so only 15 +30(annya bug) stack rezist over max is required. Gm rezist on sorc vs sorc is 10 max rezist or 20% sorb + 5 % max rezist.
- Vs cold an insane amount of cold rezist is required. With this inventory sorcs hit around - 300+ cold pierce, so u need 330 + cold rez over 75 to stack their dmg imo that's to bothersome. If u want to prepare yourself for bet duels or serious 1v1 then u can use masive amounts of 11 cr smcs and such.
-vs light there's mostly traps that do not reduce lr gm rezist vs trapers is tgods or whisp +5% max. Javazons and that mostly reduce ~20 light rez with griffons and fisters that reduce -150 convictions and facets
-poison rabies u shouldnt be caught by one of those in the first place and nova necs that die 1 hit mostly also they shouldnt catch u
Situaton 1
For example let's say i have a 3k life char with 275 cold rezist (75 rez and +100 stacked rez) and a raven. U apply the pvp penalty to the 17k dmg firstly that means u do roughly 2.8k dmg after pvp penalty. After that u calculate the rezistances after u pierce(let's say u have 300 cold pierce idk how much u have) so that means my rez will be -100 so the the 2.8k dmg will be amplified by +100% dmg that means u end up doing 5.6k dmg directly to life. As i have only 3k life absorb will no longer work reason is that i die 1 hit.
Situation 2 .
I have the same life but now let's say i have 475 rezist (75 rez and 300 stacked rez) after the pvp penalty u do 2.8k dmg and after pierce (asuming again -300 pierce) i have 75 rezist this time so the 2.8k dmg get's reduced by 75% (+1% for every positive rezist -1% for every negative) so the dmg is roughly 700. After this absorbs are applied so wearing gm sorb 1 raven that means i absorb 20% of dmg ~140 and then heal for the absorb amount ~140 so the end dmg would be ~ 420 dmg per blizz this is without factoring in integer absorb and 5% max rez.
Notice i did the math without a calculator so the results may vary a little but u should get the basic ideea
I forgot about the max block question .If u can get over 3+k life with max block then yeah if not then dont bother.

 

Sorry for a dumb question, I have only been dueling for couple of weeks, but you're talking about 275 rez, whilst adding stacked rez 100+75 = 175 not 275, Am I missing something here?

 

Rezist start from -100 so u need 100 to reach 0 and another 75 to reach maximum rezist without gear =75 and another 100 to reach the 275 that i mentioned. Stacked rezist means everything that goes over the maximum rezist(1oo in this case).
