Solved Diablo 2 Doesn't Open

    Hello

    Whenever I try to start the game, a blank command prompt window appears for a second, followed by the GameGuard, and that's it. I've tried changing the DEP settings, I allowed the Loader, EuropeBattleNet, Diablo 2, and even Game.exe through the firewall, set them all as run as administrator, and changed their compatibility to Windows XP Service Pack 2. Is there anything else I could try to get the game to start?

    what OP system?
    did you install the patch properely?
    did you install patch on an unmodded client?
    did you patch on an 1.14 client?

    print screens pls?

    Best is to make a clean install of the game.
    Remove all d2 from your pc and also registry files.

    Go to: http://europebattle.net/d2/
    Download server patch and install in your D2 folder.
    Use europebattle.exe to start game.
    Also make sure to set compatibility and run everything as administrator.

    Windows 7.
    When I downloaded Diablo 2 originally it was patch 1.13c Direct Play.
    You want a screenshot of what?

    Inayat I did exactly everything you told me and I still get the same result. Plus the 1.13c patch can't run because I cleared the game that I downloaded.

    Did you re-install the game also, before trying to add server patch?

    At the beginning I had the original downloaded game then I added the patch server, would it make a difference now? I'll still give it a shot though thanks

    Do you currently have the full original game installed in your computer (patch 1.14) ?

    Nope I don't. I torrented Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction 1.13c direct play.

    You're definetly doing things wrong. Send me your skype id (create one if you don't have) through pm and I'll take a look at your problem tomorrow through teamviewer.

    Update: Problem fixed, I removed the previous client he downloaded and extracted the client files again into C:\ by using the first download link in this thread (previous client was messy and it was located in Downloads which isn't really recommended). Applied our custom server patch and set dep for essential windows programs and services only as it was set wrong and the user was experiencing ACCESS_VIOLATION (c0000005) error upon clicking connect button. Everything works fine now, enjoy playing!
