Solved Crashing act I

    I'll make this quick. I keep crashing at the end of Act I, at the final boss.

    Edit: Now that I've done Act I, I'm playing through Act II, I just crashed twice for the first quest. It's getting unplayable at this rate, as I have to restart.

    You need to give us more information in order for us to determine what might be the problem. For starters I'll list a few things that you can tell us:

    Are there any error messages when the game crashes? Are you noticing any kind of pattern of the crashes? Are you using auto-teleport or maphack? Are you playing in full-screen or windowed mode? Have you tried reinstalling the game? Have you searched the forums to see if any of the already suggested solutions helped in your case? Was the game crashing before?

    There is no message. The game closes after 6-7 minutes.

    Windowed & maphack. I reinstalled the game when I was posting this thread, I haven't crashed yet.

    Have you downloaded the custom patch for this server? This is a custom server with a custom patch,just installing Diablo II + Diablo II Lord of Destruction and upgrading it to 1.13c isn't enough. You need to download the custom patch for this server.

    Yep, it is installed. Now it kicks me from my lobby, with a clean installation, fullscreen, maphack.

    EDIT: I just realized the pattern. When I receive a fatal hit, I don't die, It disconnect me. I guess it's a feature to save a character from dieing in HC. Is there any possible way to remove it? Thanks.

    Yes,it's called chicken. Open your .cfg and remove it. I'm not sure what Map-hack you use,but if you tell me,I'll tell you exactly how you can change it.

    I use ''My Stings''. I try to disable it in the .cfg file, but it always come back.
    If I click on numpad.8, even tho it says ''off'', it is still ON.

    You must open your d2maphack.cfg file with text editor. Find all lines with CHICKEN and comment it with // like example below :
    //Chicken Life Action: 1
    //Chicken Life Toggle: 1, VK_OEM_7
    or you can remove that lines from your cfg. And dont forget save the modified cfg file :tup:

    @Olivier, follow @Nopik post and you'll be good. Whenver you face any issues always make sure to provide as many details as possible, straight from your first post. While reinstalling does indeed solve many odd errors of this game such as your first one, when you are trying to debug an issue always make sure you're doing it without any 3rd party tools such as maphack or auto-teleport as in this case you would have figured that being kicked to the lobby while your hp gets low is actually due to the maphack and as others mentioned, specifically because of the chicken life feature.

    Kudos to everyone else posting in this thread and helping @Olivier while asking the right questions to find what his problem was.
