Trading website

Hey folks!

I started to play a few days ago in this awesome server and found a little bit tricky and difficult to trade, specifically to find someone having the item that I'm looking for. I started to surf the forum and found confusing and also difficult to do that, so I started to search on the internet, but still couldn't find a way to make that task easier.

I was thinking that maybe it's a good idea to create a website where people can offer/search for items that they have/want.

Do you think it's a good idea or maybe I'm the only one getting confused and finding it difficult?

Would be extremely nice to have your feedback.

We alrdy have a tradeforum, the marketplace. No idea what kind of sense it would make to outsource a tradeforum, honestly.
You can always create tradegames, type ingame channel or post in the marketplace what you are looking for.

If people dont use the marketplace but prefer to trade ingame only, why should they visit another tradingsite?!

 

Hey Light86, what you are saying has perfect sense to me, I'm agree with all of that in fact. I just found it tedious and difficult -maybe it's just me, that's why I'm asking- and I think that trading could be improved with a focused site that could offer a nice UI with an advanced search engine with filters by item attributes and characteristics. Maybe it could also trigger a notification when someone post that item that you're looking for. I don't know, those are some ideas that came to my mind right now, but I think there are some others features to explore.

Please don't take it as a criticism or something negative, I'm just thinking out loud, trying to improve the game experience

As @Light86 mentioned we have a marketplace forum already in place. Trading is also commonly done in the chat channel in game and also by creating trade games. Also I suggest you read the server rules as you're not allowed to advertise other websites.

Well... I understand what you mean by such "search feature" but it's impossible for diablo imo. The items have variable stats and especially rare items with 6 affixes varying makes it impossible to adopt something for Diablo2 in contrary to other games like DotA.
I could also imagine that most ppl would only look out for perfect stats with such a feature and I highly doubt that there are even so many items with those stats on this server. And still I dont see the problem creating "tradegames" and put in description what you are looking for or make a thread in the marketplace. If nobody offers you those items it's prolly because nobody has those or willing to sell them...
