Yes, Stone runeword for 4 socket armors and Duress for 3 socket.

 

I have question: I understood any rw with ed would work. Enlightenment has 30% ed. But def decreased instead of increasing. Why?

 

No, it wasnt the case. I had like 700 def or so and I made Enlightenment in it and got 400 def. It wasn't overflow.

 

It was 7% ed. Later when I made Duress in exact same armor and then TP + hel'ed that out then Eth bug worked. So the armor is not the probllem. Now I have the same armor 2037 base def.

 

that's not correct, armor shall be just ethereal, no ed is necessary, see pic below

 

how can i add def, if def on eth helm = 0, but durability exist 20/20 ?

 

idk what you guys think, but I find it more convenient for certain runewords (Ej. Enigma), to bug a normal rather than elite level armor as base. like let's say, an Eth Superior Light Plate rather than an Eth Superior Archon Plate:

- Max base Def possible after bug is 2037 for both
- Eth Light Plate has a way lower Str Requirement (31)
- Can get 3 sockets guaranteed from Larzurk Quest

unless I'm missing something I really don't see why the Archon Plate would be better in this case other than the badass armor name.

 

How do you bug treks? They are boots, and boots are not socketed, but you need to put some rune in socket and then remove it. Or did I miss something?

Also how do you exactly bug weapons? This guide doesnt seem to touch these either.

oh you are right, I forgot Enigma doesn't have an indestructible or repair durability every x seconds mod. was thinking that having more armor for less Str requirement would be neat.

 

But you are right in the way others clarified above. Certainly when e-bugging some sort of unique item, like a HoZ, Arreats, Skullders, there is no need to up them to elite from exceptional, as you’ll achieve the same max def, but retain lower requirements. A case can still be made for using certain elite runeword bases, rather than norm or exc, if for your char, such as Exile, as the chance to block (and AR/ED/RES mods too?) increase between the norm exc and elite. However, I imagine that the 2k base def on a normal eth rondache, when made into Exile and coupled with holy shield will probably still reach max block? I’ll look into that theory.
