Solved changing the game language

    Hey guys!

    Is it possible to change the game to german somehow? I downloaded it from this forum here.
    I wanna play with 3 friends, but they don't wanna play in english :-\

    1) make a backup of your d2lang.dll, d2speech.mpq and d2xtalk.mpq
    2) download the german d2lang.dll and copy it in your d2-folder (you can download this file from german d2 sites)
    3) download the german D2speech.mpq and copy it in your d2-folder
    4) download the german D2xtalk.mpq and copy it in your d2-folder

    you can download all files in a pack from a very popular german d2 site alternatively (i'm sure i'm not allowed to link).

    otherwise download the full german version of the game, install 1.13c patch on it( i think this is the patch that this server runs) then follow the connection guide on the website.

    how about a portable version? can I just upload the german version somewhere and give the link to my friends or are we running into any cd key issues then?

    There shouldn’t be any cd key issues on this server as it’s private but just keep in mind the patch that the server works on.
