    He means error:
    "Unhandled Exception: Access Violation c00005".

It happens always when you have more than one game window opened at once (when you play on more than one character).
I think it has something to do with GameGuard, somehow it can't "protect" more than one game instance, but I can be wrong.

@dalmadorm , yes you are wrong. It's a game error, nothing to do with the gameguard (and it does protect the game executable itself which translates into all instances)

How to fix it? Read forum, search on google, there are tons of articles over this game error. If you are using maphack then it's mostly caused by that because it's a cheat that was never ment to be compatible with the game. You could try to use the integrated maphack otherwise just start reading the posts made on this forum as this is a common error in diablo2

Hm. So, why everything works perfectly when I have only one game turned on, but when I play on more characters at one time (eg. 2-3), then my games running in background (not maximised ones) crash after some time with "Access Violation error" or Diablo's "Error Halt Location Line #xxx"?

Did you add your Diablo 2 game executables to Antivirus, Firewall and Windows whitelist?

Because it's diablo2 :) errors are weird in this game just like in any other game.

PS: Keep in mind that multiple instances isn't a feature that this game was intended to support. The loader is not developed by blizzard as it's a forbidden cheat in the official server.

Diablo 2 was mainly supported in a old OS, so imagine how many problems can have in a "modern" OS, if you design a program to be fully functional in win 98 and you try to execute it in w10, have high chances to fail, its the same with the old games, OS architectures are not the same even being both "windows" named
Check if you have all the recomendations to fix problems in the help desk(the DEP one too, that helped me a lot, include the maphack there)
Check too the OS firewall if you have the d2 and maphack executables in the exception list, and try to shut down the antivirus

PD: I think you speak spanish, just start a conversation with me on the forums and i can explain better if you need it
