Hello folks,

I kind of stumbled upon this place when looking for a "mostly" vanilla server. I've been playing Diablo 2 pretty much steadily from release in both mods and vanilla. I really like the sounds of this server, and the community looks to be quite amazing. I came back most recently to Diablo 2 just because it is the most consistently great game I've ever played, after not caring much for Diablo 3 and pretty much being disappointed by every other game I've played in the last 3 years I jumped back to Diablo 2. I started with /r/slashdiablo which was also a great community but all this talk of regular ladder resets and such kind of turned me of. I'd hate to spend a lot of time crafting a great character with runewords and gear only to have resets like b.net knock me back every 6 months.

I plan on loading up this server when I get home from work and I have a few small questions in the mean time.

Are their ladder resets? and if there are is non-ladder any different from ladder besides the race?

Aside from the listed changes in drops, exp, merc, etc.. is there anything blatantly different from vanilla that I should be aware of. I understand it has been stated that there are some changes I'm just wondering the extent and how it influences the core of the game, so I can have a heads up when starting if I should alter my builds or game play in anyway.

There are indeed ladder resets here, but since the server has a good amount of active players the ladder reset will not be soon as far as I know.
We only have Softcore and Hardcore Ladder servers, once the reset is made, all characters are lost; there is no non-ladder.
