Oh, I almost forgot. We definetly need to talk about your forearms workout as I'm interested into finding out more. I've also did some specific training for arm wrestle years ago but haven't focused on my forearms for quite a while since they are included into most exercises during my gym training anyway but definetly want to go go back and focus on them some more. Afterall, I don't get the chance of meeting a pro in arm wrestle everyday

I would say just heavy concentration curls with your wrist hyperextended at the bottom then curled into your forearm at the top would be the best forearm workout. Also, just put a bunch of weight on a smith machine and put your back to the bar, grab it and curl up just using your forearms.

Thanks alot Gix :) I forgot to mention i ate too much junk over winter and was two pounds over my normal weight class ; those metals are in the 156-176 lbs class and im 158 lbs. Pretty impressive for the under dog! haha

But when it comes to the wrists / forearms the heavy concentration curls as Endotoxin suggested is great for bicep workouts more than the forearms; i recommend "hammer reps" the heavier the better .. its best to struggle with only getting 3-5 reps per set rather than 10-20 per set. You may laugh at this one but my favorite wrist workout is having a 5 gallon bucket of water (filled to whatever you desire) and roll it from the top of your hand to the bottom of your palm.

Holding yourself in a fully lifted "chin-up" position is a great way too. Do a normal chin-up and instead of coming down ; hold yourself up as long as possible.

As silly as it sounds; i have a chunk of 2x4 and i use a screwdriver and screw into it and out of it for a wrist workout while im playing the computer.

I have kindof half-ass workout routines with minimal stuff needed; using basic home-hold objects to do the work $1000 machines do :)

For the first time; i finally may get to teach G something!

EDIT: Its also not cheating to use Creatine and Protein powder!

I believe it my friend! Being a carpenter isnt easy on the wrists and grip but it comes in handy, like when i shake my daughters boyfriends hands when she gets older.. They will know better! hahaha :) :rip:

I suppose it's the same knowledge I know too but well no one said sticking to basics is something wrong. I've got myself about 4 different exercises for the forearms as well and that should be more than enough.

And totally agree with you: creatine and protein powder is not cheating. Those are just supliments next to your meals which are the priority. I don't use creatine during cutting but I do use protein powder a lot in order to get up to 3-3.5g of protein per kg + aminoacids as I have a lot of muscular tissue to sustain. I do use creatine everyday during bulking or just to sustain the current form and I add some extra calories to the proteine powder with my own secret recipe which turns it into a high quality gainer.

PS: I only use dumbbells and barbell for the forearms training (and pretty much for all muscles unless I'm trying to isolate a certain part of the muscle like the peak of the biceps or the end of triceps, etc) and home-made stuff are just as good so ain't using any sophisticated stuff either.
