Been Gone

Sorry i have been absent without any notice for a while but i been quite busy and distracted as of late and also seem to be having an issue connecting to the server now, my game loads just fine and runs in single player with no problem but as soon as i connect the entire thing crashes with an unhandled exception access violation c0000005 as soon as it starts checking versions its been doing this to me for some time as i tried to come back a month or so ago, i tried repatching my game, running it in window mode and everything else but to no avail. just have not had the time to really mess with it too much tho.

Even so im working on the problem now and trying to get back to playing again, hope to see everyone soon (if i can get this bug fixed)

 

well i have tried everything from safe mode to data execution prevention but am getting nowhere...
even tried a fresh install and for some reason i cant even connect to the bnet realms
same error every time
ill let u guys know if i get it fixed tho but i think i have run out of things to try

 

I take it you have installed the latest server patch with gameguard etc?

Maybe PM Gix for some help ^^? My diablo did something very similar. All I did was fresh install, with the auto patch from server, ran the registry file and boom it worked fine. I did however have to run my Diablo II under compatibilty mode, Windows 7.

 

Everything is working fine now, had to add ALL the .exe files in my d2 folder to the dep to get it working but its GOLDEN.

Glad to be back once more, also I have my gf playing now for her first time, on acc The-Myth
got her started out with a summon necro but she needs some decent merc gear so if anyone has some summoner mec gear they are willing to part with I'm in the market.
