    Hello Guys.

After I started several video projects ( including The Server Trailer ), I decided that this is not enough and it is time to introduce my new project " BNews " !! BNews will include everything going on around Blizzard's classic games like Warcraft, Starcraft and Diablo II :)

BNews is an acronym for BattleNews, because EuropeBattleNews sounds a little out of place.
So much for the presentation. Let's start with the leading news.. which are quite worrying

After 20 years of adventures, Blizzard decided to retire their brand Battle.NET . The official announcement was released on 21 September.

We’re going to be transitioning away from using the Battle.net name for our gaming service and the functionality connected to it. Battle.net technology will continue to serve as the central nervous system for Blizzard games—nothing is changing in that regard. We'll just be referring to our various products and services using the Blizzard name instead. You've already seen this recently with things like "Blizzard Streaming" and "Blizzard Voice," and more changes are on the way.

When we created Battle.net, the idea of including a tailored online-gaming service together with your game was more of a novel concept, so we put a lot of focus on explaining what the service was and how it worked, including giving it a distinct name. Over time, though, we’ve seen that there’s been occasional confusion and inefficiencies related to having two separate identities under which everything falls—Blizzard and Battle.net. Given that built-in multiplayer support is a well-understood concept and more of a normal expectation these days, there isn’t as much of a need to maintain a separate identity for what is essentially our networking technology.

We just wanted to make sure everyone was aware as we moved forward with this change over the next several months; we’ll provide any relevant updates as the transition progresses.

I do not know about you guys, but for me it was pretty shattering. I guess it is the same for all people grew up with that name Battle.NET
Iam aware that this in no way affect our server and its functionality, nor will it change the game and still I feel robbed for some reason

But still .. times change, people also. The views of Blizzard apparently underestimated the impact on their decision аnd I'm sure that this change will not be accepted easily by the community which supported them for so many years and for some reason continue to do so..

Ifound a very interesting video of a young man named Rhykker who shares his opinion about the decision of Blizzard. If u have time, watch it

Please comment and express your opinion on the matter ( Thanks in advance )

    Best Regards : Your Epic ( :D ) Reporter : DSync

Bad new for people who grew up with this,
but could mean more people for us.
Spread the word about this server.

    Every negative has its positives.

    Regards.

They will change only the name ( Battle.NET ) I doubt that they will stop the Diablo II servers.

But as Rhykker said, this could be the retirement of Diablo II

    Who knows. :)

Feels like the headman who made this decision does not understand the sentimental value of this game to everyone.

After the retirement of Chris Metzen I expect dark days for Blizzard.

And even darker for us ( Players )
