Solved Cube soketing eth items

hi

I remember while cube soketing an etheral item, eth bonus calculated 2 times and def can be much more.

But i tried some eth armor cube soket but defence didnt change:S

i saw some items on people that has huge defence, can someone explain how to get/make?

 

For eth armor write Stone some times on your base and when deffence stop grow up just write Forty. If item is Unique put Pul inside some times, if the base is not eth armor 4 sock find cheap recept whit enhanced defense and redo it some times and etc.

Yes, cani, in usual servers you could take ethereal armor/shield, use cube recipe to socket it and get an additional 50% defense bonus. Armor defense in the end calculates - normal armor defense + 50% ethereal def bonus + 50% def bonus on that, from bug).

Eurobattle Server Specific bug: Find eth armor and create runewords that have Enchanced Defense attribute(3 sock - Duress, 4 sock - Stone) and delete them. Do that until base def for item is 2037.

In this server you should use this recipe only if you want to get specific and lower socket count in item that has no sockets yet, but has bigger max possible socket count than you need.
For example, if you use a5 socket quest, it will usually do max socket count in armor. Your best bet, to get a 3 sockets in max 4 socket armor/shield, is to use cube recipe.
Example: I use weapon socket recipe's for weapons a lot. I use it to socket Threshers(max socket count - 5), when I need just 4 sockets.

Example in armor: If you have Elite paladin shield that would be awesome base for Exile, let's say non-sock Vortex Shield @44, you would think twice, before using a recipe, because recipe has high chance to give you anything but 4 sockets.
As you know - Larzuk in a5 will usually provide max socket count in item. Now, when you know that and know that there is a server specific bug, you can recreate Exile in this shield until base def is 2037.

Here's everything again, just for another example. You have found an ethereal Archon Plate without sockets. Now you figure out - which runeword you want. If you want threachery/duress, you will need 3 sockets. If you want Stone/Forti - you will need 4 sockets. If you choose 3 sockets - you will have to do socket recipe and hope for 3 sockets. If you choose 4 sockets - go to a5 and do Larzuk socket. After you've gotten armor with preferred socket count, now do the Eurobattle Server Specific bug until base def is 2037.
