Solved d2 closes on server connect

I just installed all the required stuff to try this server usabattle. But when I try to log on it or even europebattle I get the connecting to server pop up the d2 will close. Everything is installed properly as I've tested single player and have 0 issues but when I go to log in as stated d2 will just close no errors

 

Make sure you're using server patch, and 1.13c if you did that, try to run the Diablo 2 in admin mode and even in compatibility mode with windows xp service 2, after you do that post here again so we can figure out whats going on if that didnt work.

 

patch is 1.13c and is your servers patch. Had it set to admin mode both windows xp sp2 and windows 7 compatibility same thing game guard loads d2 loads but when click to join server d2 just shuts down no errors nothing

Don't use skype imo it's a pos program. and DEP is set. I've played many pvt realms even was an admin of one I've done all the install instructions to the letter and ran threw all your help threads and tried everything that helped others nothing works.

 

Actually there was one but it was custom built for all the programs used for 1.10 d2 it was made server side ran something like d2 runs warden but actually worked. As for my issues I'm going to try a fresh install I think I've found my problem I'll try it and see if it fixes the issue if not we can try other methods.

No luck it's something with gameguard as i reinstalled my d2 i use for bnet after installing everything for your server. Running vanilla d2 with 1.14b i connected no problem but with your gameguard it blocks me

 

Ok yes we got off topic a bit I stated the admin stuff and other pvt servers as to show I don't miss steps is whole reason I brought it up. the 1.14 part was because i had 1.13c installed ran reg file to get server ip instead of manually adding it to check if that was my issue "game closes no matter of realm choice".
As for setting compatibility/DEP/AV this is what I did.... compatibility is set to windows 7 which I run, run as admin is set "I do this default for any game", DEP is set as suggested, and as for av I turned it off I don't use windows defender cause it's crap but my av was turned off for my final attempt. skype I won't install as for the teamspeak I'll find your ip and set it up shortly once my kids are up. As for the gameguard it's the only part that's installed that I've found to block me from joining the server

 

yup used it many times to help a gaming friend fix his pc and add mods/addons for world of tanks. just getting everything again after cleaning my reg files and pc start from scratch so to speak be on your ts shortly.
