Solved d2 error HALT line #215 pls help

    hey community,
    i got this error in the title below about 50 times from now.
    google doesn´t help well and the common error fixes doesn´t help
    any suggestions ?

    Have you been playing successfully before? Is it happening to all characters? Can you create a new character and run fine? Are you playing on 1.13c? When exactly are you getting the error?

    -yea but on other versions of the OS
    -yes it is happening to every character
    -yes i can create and play without problems
    -yes
    -depends. sometimes i get it after 5minutes sometimes after 30minutes. absolutely random.

    hope this helps a bit.

    btw, compatibility settings are on windows xp service pack 2.

    If you can create other characters with no problem it sounds like your character files were corrupted. I'm definitely no expert tho. Make sure you're running as administrator and try to change your Direct draw to 2D and run without maphack. We'll do our best to get you back up and runnin man

    His character files have nothing to do with that.

    As @Endotoxin suggested, run the game w/o maphack. Also, if you're running the game into full screen switch to window mode.

    tried window mode already still crashes.
    deactivating the maphack is.. not an option :D maybe some similar maphacks allowed on this server?

    We need to see first if the MH is causing this error so you should play without it in order to confirm that, otherwise we are just loosing time.

    Also make sure you try a full re-install as well but keep in mind to uninstall the game correctly and re-install it into a different folder/hdd partition.

    i´ll try to play some time without the MH today . i´ll inform you if the error still occurs.

    idk how to edit a post so here´s a little edit:

    played about 3hours without MH and it didnt crashed.
    so far so good but it´s not enough playtime to tell if this is the error and today i don´t have much time .
    tomorrow i´ll play a bit longer.

    edit 2 after 2 days:

    played about 5~ hours without a crash. looks like the MH is fault but i rly need one =/. is there another MH out there?

    We need to know what MH you are using first of all. Next, you could try a default MH config or atleast different from the one you are currently using. You may also try and download the integrated MH patch which is available here and see how it goes.
    If none if this works (I doubt it won't) you may want to switch to another MH.

    ok i´ll try the patch out ^^

    and the MH i´m using atm is the d2 hackmap from here http://forum.gamesymbol.com/f842/[d...tch-map-hack-auto-teleport-531601/#post759158 .

    tried the integrated version . crashes.
    it crashed twice while i joined a game and talked to ormus in act3 . idk if this helps :D

    ah found out how to edit
    edit 2 :

    it often crashes when i have to leave a game, create a new game and run a bit around.
