Error preventing playing

    I would like to play on this server, however when installing your server patch i keep getting an error.

    My steps to install.

    1. Download and install Diablo II & LOD
    2. Download and install Diablo LOD 1.13c patch
    3. Download Oblivion Patch .zip and overwrite.
    4. Modify gateway for d2.europebattle.net
    5. Connect.

    Once I Load up the game it lets me get to the menu, but as soon as i Click on Battle.net(d2.europebattle.net) it gives me the "hey guys" error once it hits "Checking Versions".

    I've tried this also with the normal game.exe and not the loader, when using the .exe it gives me an Exception error.

    I am running on Windows 8 enterprise, and have the game running in compatibility mode Windows xp Service pack 2 (and have tried SP3, and win7 cap.)
    I always run as admin as well.

    Let me know what the issue is, as I would love to join and play on this realm.

    Do u use diablo 2 original if not take a d2 off the torrents1 apply the pach and try to connect again!

    Wow sad day when basic installation and windows software prevent someone from joining the realm. And the best help I get is to download the same game only. Torrent and try again....

    Anyone got an idea??

    No idea why my reply wasn't saved but my idea will remain the same.
    If you act like a jerk when someone gives you an answer then go ahead and find it yourself over google since as i can see you're too lazy to do that or go ask blizzard why your pirated copy is acting so weird.

    Your error is a common error of a lame client you have downloaded so blame yourself for that.

    Google search "torrent diablo2 lod" and download the first result for piratebay.
    Use MagicDisc, a 2MB software that loads ISO disks and install both D2 and D2 LoD. Next, install blizzard 1.13c patch and as a last step, apply our patch or installer and make sure to run the game though our loader.

    If you don't like errors and you're so rude with someone that tries to help you then go ahead and buy the original game which may also give you errors since none of us can know how damagad is your OS or whatever you've done since installation.
