    alrighty, so where to start.

the other day i decided to buy a legit copy of diablo 2, bought the battlechest from target, played it for a few days on the normal blizz servers, all goes well, just got annoyed with all of the bots and annoying spam.
today, i decided to try and join d2realms, uninstalled diablo, reinstalled it, ran patch 1.13c, ran the realm patch, and the anti-hack keeps giving me an error of : [Exception] Address0x7717E3BE, Code:0xC0000005.
ive done everything correctly to the tee, everything is in compatability mode for xp sp2, everything is being ran as an administrator. ive added the executables and everything to the exception list, and i do not have an anti-virus currently so that cant be the issue here. ive racked my brain the last couple of hours trying to figure this out and finally gave up and decided to head to the forums, ill keep searching and see if anyone has similar issues or problems, if im posting this in the wrong section, im very sorry, much obliged.

also, if anyone needs the TDAgg dump file, i can upload it to mediafire or etc. anything to help.

You posted in the wrong section, i guess.
Try to post it on Help Desk, not on Report Section.

Indeed. You need help so you should have posted in Help Desk (thread moved)

Also, it's not the antihack that triggers the error, it's the game itself, mostly the loader.
We have a sticky thread with common game errors and their fix (a direct link is also added on our website) http://forum.gamesymbol.com/f842/[fix]-diablo-ii-common-errors-532466/

PS: I noticed you already logged in so I suppose it's fixed now? Make sure to come back and let us know.

okay, im agreeing this is an exception game error, but its being caused by gameguard, not the normal exception, i was only able to log on using the normal 1.13c game.exe file that i received from a downgrade zip, unfortunately i was unable to join the game as it wasnt the right loader, ive reinstalled diablo 2 5 times now, ive tried your fixes, ive tried other common exception fixes, this isnt the issue, unless i have a hack somewhere on my computer thats causing gameguard to go hay-wire (and i highly doubt that because this is the first time diablo 2 has been installed on this computer) i dont know what the issue it here, as i cannot figure out how to read the TDAgg dump file i dont know what the exact issue it, but i can guarantee that your "quick fix" didnt fix anything. im about to do a last resort and reformat the computer, start fresh with an unmolested operating system, and that will hopefully fix this issue.

No, this specific error has nothing to do with the gameguard since it's a common error that bnet players have it too. You are free to google that error and see it by yourself.
Also those are common fixes for this error that you will find on google, they're not "my" fixes. Even Diablo3 has it http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/4210084787 since it's a memory violation error.

By the way, do you get that error when trying to launch the game or when creating a game? Try launching the game through the usabattle.exe loader and not the game.exe and make sure to restart pc after adding DEP exception. Remember diablo2 it's an old game and sometimes it acts weird.

PS: I can assist you through teamviewer if you still can't get it work so send me a private message and we'll take it from there.

I know how you feel, this game does act weird sometime. I've seen plenty of errors scenario on both bnet and private servers too and the fix camed from nowhere with no logical explanation behind it but glad to see it working fine on your end now.
Welcome aboard and hope you'll enjoy your stay.
