Game Updated 1.13c will not run

    Installed everything following the "How to Connect" guide

    1º Installed D2+LOD
    2º Patched to 1.13c via the download from homepage (http://ftp.blizzard.com/pub/diablo2exp/patches/PC/LODPatch_113c.exe)
    3º Extracted Run USABnet Installer (to D2 directory) and executed the registry, everything OK
    4º Downloaded BNGatewayEditor and followed the steps, verified and all, everything OK
    5º Run D2 V1.13c Shortcut, choose Bnet and tells me version is wrong although at the bottom left it says V1.13



    Anyone?

    Reinstalled everything, downloaded 1.13c patch from official site.

    Still not working, "battle.net is unable to identify your application version"

    What can I be possibly doing wrong?

    I had to download latest client and not 1.13c...

    Glad you solved it.
    Most of us followed exact steps from your 1st post and worked just fine. I suppose some clients may have issues so best option is to download D2+LOD from another website. The one from piratebay seems the best

    Even though I solved I would liek to add for other people that encounter similar problems in the future, that the downloaded version from ThePirateBay works much better than the original version+1.13c patch
    To get it just go to TPB search Diablo 2, order by seeders and choose Diablo 2 + LOD 1.13c

    Hope it helps.

    I spent like 5hours trying to make the retail version work
