I wanted to comeback today after a half year without playing diablo, the matter is i got the "gameguard connecting please wait" problem, i've made a clean install, cleaned the registry etc, firewall turned off, antivirus off, run as administrator, xp compatibility, etc but it hangs at connecting, idk what to do, i've searched the forum, there is a lot of similar threads but none of them helped me, what can i do to play again?

Hello there and welcome back. Unfortunately I can't tell what you've changed to your computer for the past half of year since you said you were able to connect just fine before but let's start with the basics.
    Check this thread first http://forum.europebattle.net/threads/game-guard-issue-connecting-please-wait.542226/
Now you should also add the game folder to your antivirus exceptions list and windows defender then turn them back on.

Yes, that may as well be one of the problems. Could you use a direct cable connection and remove the router for a test?
You haven't mentioned anything about windows defender, what operating system are you using?

I've found this file in the diablo folder (if this helps) err_GameGuard.log with the following in it:
    Operating system supported.
    Response HTTP/1.1 304.
    File './TDAgg/Database.dbx.zip' is updated.
    Response HTTP/1.1 304.

That's just telling you the operating system is supported and files that are up to date. Thing is there should be more files listed there and they're not downloaded/updated due to your connecting issue.
PS: Kindly use the forum edit button if you need to add something to your last post in a threat, rather than double posting.

Ok sorry about double post, ill check tomorrow with a lan cable to see if it works or not, btw there is no router, its just a wifi cablemodem (technicolor dpc3848ve) idk whats the matter then, if the firewall in the modem is disabled.

@dvdmcwilliams, send me a private message with a download link to the gameguard.log file located inside of your game folder so I can take a look at the download state and maybe we can find out some more from there. You can use something like https://mega.co.nz/ to upload the file and send it to me, it's going to be encrypted.

LE: Alright seems the modem was the problem here as it was blocking the connection.
