    @Maidan
Seems to be pretty hard for you to understand the basics of uninstalling a game .Why would you say no one has been trying to help you aswell?
@Gix and @miljko both explained everything to you for one hour straight last day and today.
didnt you listen to them , and if so why not just use Google.com .

Ive told them that I uninstalled from scratch. Diablo 2 AND Diablo 2 LOD.
    --- Double Post Merged, Mar 16, 2016 ---
And the problem hasn't been fixed so not listening to them makes no sense at all if I did what they told me to do. Instead of UNINSTALLING maybe I need help BEYOND uninstalling the DAMN game.

@Maidan Honestly i have no clue about what to do in your situation .
you must understand that i would be happy to help you with your problem.
the only solution that i see is that you uninstall the intire OS Windows 8 or 7 etc and install it again
This might work in your case

So you're telling me that there is no way to downgrade from 1.14 and retry the gateway editor and try from 1.13c after uninstalling the game completely.

i never had any problems with uninstalling diablo 2 and afterwards use the patch from the europebattle.net site.
so i will say that i dont really see no other option than to uninstall your OS if you wanna be sure to get everything to Work.
take care and return when you have tried this , sorry i cant help beyond this option.

I havent been told any solution OTHER than power uninstall bro. All i want is another solution that isnt gonna make me restart every games download/install.
I havent been told, oh go here to install it with 1.13 to get rid of 1.14 , than go here and type your gateway stuff and try that. im just stuck with 1.14, a freshly installed diablo 2 that still apart of Europebattle.net

Dude, you must understand how patching works. There is no way that a ~10MB patch can make drastic changes/replace all files that sum up to ~2GB. That said, you should look for the files that are changed with patching (hint: these mostly all files under 20MB that are in your Diablo directory). You don't have to uninstall anything - just get yourself a .rar or .zip patch with all the necessary files packed up. Luckily for you, there is a download of such an archive from the server homepage/forum. Grab it and try it out.

If you have been trying to launch Diablo for 34 times because you wanted to check out if ir works or not each time after you made some changes or tried out something new, you should take a peek into your task manager and close any remaining instances of Diablo II.exe, Game.exe or any other game loader before trying to overwrite your files with the archived ones (or just restart your computer for that matter). Things get nasty in there.

To be honest, using executable patches for swapping versions/mods for Diablo II is really lame. Try this:

    1) Whenever you get a fresh install of Diablo with LOD, create a zip or rar file containing all files with less size than 50MB just to be sure you can easily revert back to the original when things get nasty. The Diablo folder gets quite messy over time if you 'want more than just playing on battle.net'.
    2) Name your archive "lod_v107" or whatever to indicate what the hell is in there. Don't lose it.
    3) Knowing that v1.13 is the go-to version nowadays, patch the game to this version with a clean exe file downloaded from Blizzard. Then repeat the same archiving process and name your new archive "lod_v113" this time.
    4) Don't lose these files. You will thank yourself later.
    5) Whenever you want to change your game version/mod/patch/whatever - use your self-made archives by overwriting their content over your current Diablo files and be sure that the files are clean. Revert the game, patch it as you please, mod it, the sky is the limit.

I'm currently at work so I don't have my files with me but I could send you a link when I get home.

Regarding the fact that you get the same answer all the time - there is a simple rule. The more you specific you are with your explanation the more specific answers you'll get. It's obvious that you haven't mentioned everything every single time. There's no point in hoping for a different reaction while doing the same action over and over again.

Solution: ask a friend because you don't seem to know anything about computes and people already lost few hours explaining just to get some rude answers back from you.

Hmm. so after all this. I found the problem. It was simple. And if anyone would know any amount more than me. they would've been about to find the problem.
