Installation Tutorial

Can someone make a video on how to properly install the private server. I seem to be having way too much trouble as well as other people. I would also possibly like for the video to include error fixing. Thanks in advance.

 

This is not a bad idea at all, in fact I'll look into it asap.
Problem is it may differ from system to system, people that run xp or vist vs. win8 will have a bit easier time with it since there is no need to run things as an admin like in win7 or 8, i know next to nothing about mac or linux so i cant say for sure with those systems.

For the most part tho it really is a simple process just try and follow the manual setup guide found here EuropeBattle.Net - Diablo II Private Server and you shouldn't run into any problems

Here is a short video I made of patching the game and editing the gateway to play here using the manual install method.
After doing this your game should be ready and able to connect and play on our realm.

For an error walk-through video I would need to cause common errors to happen within my own system but most of the common errors you will run into with d2 are caused by things like 2d loader being the wrong version or maphack crashing, these things don't really need a guide just the correct files, I don't use d2loader or d2multi with my game so I ofc never run into any problems with them, if anyone DOES have any problems with loader or multi I have an alternative to them that imo woks much better, as for the map hack crashes using a different maphack or runing the game in window mode normally fixes these problems rite away, most players use sting's maphack that will tend to crash allot in full screen mode so if you are using this one just switch to window mode, if you prefer full screen try d2mr/d2me (both the same setup and style) they don't have all the neat bells and whistles like sting's but they get the job done and work well in full screen.

The loader can be bypassed with the d2gfx.dll found here.
The d2mr maphack that I use can be found here.
Run the maphack as admin if the game does not appear in the process list.
