The black Knight was always straight up evil, in authorian lore, the red knight was sir ironside, a brutal borderline sadistic man that posessed the strength of 7 men, who was turned by sir Gareth to become the enforcer of the knights of the round table and eventually aspired to be sir lancelots ( the white knight btw) go to man. There was a few others who had the title of red knight including sir percival and sir galahad. That and EVEYONE wants to be the Black Knight or the white knight. Some chess sets have red and white peices There kind of old fashioned, but unique.
