problem with torch firestorm

5% chance to cast firestorm does not work with the torch?

 

Firestorm 5% from Torch working . But u must hit with contact "striking" . Not working when use magical skills. good luck

 

im hitting with zeal and smite. not working

 

Try with other hero if working maybe have som bug in paladin , if not working pre install diablo and look maphack config for disable some frame .

 

Its stings map hack that was causing it. Im trying to figure out how to change the config file, anyone know how to change it and where?

 

I'm not sure how stings could cause that issue. Still the config files is in the install dir. If you installed it like it's ment, you'll find in in you Diablo II folder. It's called D2hackmap. You can also reach it through the UI by clicking settings.

 

you know that 5% is a low chance , and to cast firestorm need to have high increase atac speed my play cast , my ama ,and baba but baba cast only when hit not in ww trye to grow up your ias!

 

You also have to redeemer that the attack has to land. If your remotely close to max def, your going to mitigate between 25% and 50% of blows (more 25%, depends on who's hitting you) Using zealot to test, they don't tend to have boku amounts of dex, the idea is your attack so much that some dmg gets through. Try it naked. That will rase the amount of dmg that gets through.

 

Its 5%chance to cast on strike. So its when the player hits an enemy. It's definitely the maphack I just don't know where in the config file to change it.

 

The strike can't be blocked. Has to hit. Also.
I'm not sure how it could be stings. Stings doesn't effect game mechanics. Just interface and display.. The only time Stings makes contact with Items is when addressing the item on the ground, in your inventory or in a shop. It just modifies displayed information.

I posted Engrish translations of the config files in Helpdesk. If you have any more information on HOW the maphack is effecting it, I may be able to shed some more light.

 

then how come the firestorm works with maphack off and does not work with map hack on?

 

You know, I never really thought about it until I read this, but I've never seen a fire storm come out of my torch. I also use sting, so I disabled it and did a quick run, firestorms every 2 seconds. Using a frenzy barb. SO what g-money says is true. All I can figure is sting disabled the graphic for firestorm, but that's just a guess.

EDIT: I can hear firestorm happening, so this would also suggest that it's just a visual issue. Still tinkering with the config file to no avail.

 

Update: After downloading the new patch, I tried the version of sting that came bundled with it. This solved the issue for me, however there are some issues I have still with that version of Sting. I'll cross reference the two config files and let you know what I've come up with.

 

sting's maphak is a grafic hack and he have some issue , like his name is a hack..... not part of the game
