Returning players

    Hi,

    I am a returning player of D2

    Prior installing the patch, D2 LOD 1.13c is working perfectly fine and also can enter servers of EURO however it cannot
    create or join games

    so I decided to search some guide, and found on Realm Patch which I immediately install
    but I cannot enter D2 anymore due to this error.

    "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000022). Click ok to close the application"

    >I already tried, compatibility settings, run as administrator, Disable antivirus, Exception in anti virus settings


    Please help

    I personally haven't had this problem but I had one similar. Everytime I unzipped and made a new d2 folder my virus software would quarantine several files in my d2 folder rendering it absolutely useless

    I did a quick search and found a thread in d2jsp highlighting the issue here Fg If You Fix My D2 Problem. - d2jsp Topic

    From the jist of it, it says to disable the virus software and do a full reinstall including the patch without the virus protection.

    I hope this helps as it's all I could do for now. I am off to bed to maybe get 4 hours of sleep. If it doesn't I will do a more extensive search in hopes to resolve the issue.

    Try applying the patch manually by downloading the zip archive. Also offer us more info such as what operating system and antivirus you are using.
    Try uninstalling the antivirus as I've been seen this error affecting many other games and was mainly due to AVG. You can re-install it back or use avast/bitdefender instead which are way better (remember to exclude your d2 folder once you reinstall).     Hi thanks for the replies@Gix [MENTION=28157]Endotoxin[/MENTION]

    I finally manage to log in

    What I did is to, uninstall the diablo 2 and install a new one, then uninstall the antivirus (AVG),

    then patch the Euro, now poof it works!

    Another thing is, I have two accounts, the first one , seems to connect properly(can see the character selection screen,create / join games), the second one cannot (stagnant in character selection screen (It said Connecting), I cannot see my previous characters there) ,

    What if you connect with your second account first? Does it work ? If it does then something is blocking your secondary connection and doesn't allow you to run multiple connections per IP address.

    I've also asked you in my previous post to be more specific so in this case you should name both accounts and mainly the one you are having problems with.

    Oh, Im not running multiple connection/window,

    My first account btw is bibijohn the other one which my character seems to disappear is

    bibijohn02

    oh btw its not in a hang state, you could actually click any button there (create a new character / exit / change realm)

    I have logged in just fine on the account you seem to face problems (bibijohn02), however there is no character there.

    Probably you had this account before the ladder got wiped therefore the characters are gone.
