some Questions about Uber Smiter Build

Hey Guys

I wanna build a Smiter for Ubers. I played diablo 2 in 2007 a lot, but I never had a smiter. My friend always helped me with ubers, but I don't wanna always ask others to help me

I'm confused though, because many guides suggest different gear and skill trees. So I wanna tell you what gear I have so far, what runes I have and I could need some tips and advices

Helm: Guillaumes Face
Amu: Highlords, I also have a Mara
Feet: Perf. Goblin Toe or 181% ED Gorerider
Ring: I have Bul Kathos, Raven Frost, Carrion Wind
Gloves: Draculs
Belt: Verdungos
Shield: HoZ
20/14 Pala Torch
I don't have any resistance charms and no Anni

I don't know what I should use as an armor or Weapon. Is the HoZ ok for a uber smiter or should I go for a exile? If I should use exile, which is the best base? I have a sacred targe with 4os (but only 5 resistance)
Also my highest runes right now are Gul, Vex and Sur, which I could break down to build any rune words. I was saving for a enigma for my Hammerdin, but i'm happy with my MF abilities of my Sorc.

also what skill tree would you recommend regarding my gear? I saw people saying MAX conviction, some say I should also max zeal and only 1 point in smite. I am quite confused here.
Also I only have one Guillaumes, highlords, draculs, verdungos and Carrion Wind which are equiped on my Sorc Merc right now. If anyone could spare one of these to a new player so I don't have to switch it over to other characters all the time I would much appreciate it

EDIT: Now I remember that I farmed a lot to get Grief, Exile and Fortitude so I used these instead of what is suggested
