Solved Squirrelly background noise in game...

    About 4 out of 5 times I load the game I get this squirrelly noise going on in the background, like a low-pitched whine. Changing the in game volume for regular sound or music has no effect on it, but it only occurs while I have D2 loaded. Is anyone else experiencing this? Any ideas on whats causing it and/or how to get rid of it without just reloading the game over and over?

    I personally never had the issue you're experiencing and I haven't seen others people reporting anything similar.
    If it's sound related I would start with reinstalling audio drivers and make sure your speakers/headphones are properly plugged in. Don't forget to perform a google search too, some software might interefere and cause the issue, although I had tons of softwares installed and everything was fine.

    Also I'd say its a good idea to try pressing CTRL + M buttons on the keyboard when you hear it. This will mute the loader sound (if it has any kind of diablo II corrupted sound file)

    Think I know what you are talking about.does it kinda sound like the wind blowing really loudly in the background? most times going to an NPC,and talking to them will correct it.
