As my ISP's DNS servers are quite wobbly, sometimes I switch to another DNS provider. Today my ISP's DNS servers were down so I did that and switched to Google DNS.

Now the game doesn't launch anymore.

    Here's what I see in err_GameGuard.log:

I tried restarting and running the game again. It didn't work, so I tried re-installing the EuropeBattle archive, but this didn't help either.

When I try to start the game an empty command line window appears momentarily - though I think this is nothing new - then disappears. I can see in Task Manager that the Game.exe process is running, but it disappears after a little while.

    I'm running *sigh* Windows 10. :)

I haven't used my ISP DNS for ages so that's not a problem. Hard reset your router, restart pc and make sure you're able to access websites like google (and ours) through your browser and make sure you're using 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 in the correct fields inside of your router panel or you can change it from network connections as you can see here
Also, go to your diablo2 game folder and deleteTDAgg folder then try to run the game again.

I can connect to the Internet fine with this PC and also with another laptop and my cell phone.

I deleted the TDAgg folder, then launched the launcher. It triggered a re-download of that folder. I waited a little while and nothing further happened, so I started the game again and this time, it started OK.

    Thanks for your help.
