Hi, I've been playing for over a month now, at first I had unnecessary lag/delay everytime I played. I figured my CPU was just not in a good mood because it worked flawlessly for weeks but now it's started again. I noticed everytime I use D2 my CPU jumps straight to 100%. This can't be right? It's becoming unplayable :(

Hi, I think it's in the processor itself, it's worth cleaning, and the game is reduced to minimall graphics, apparently your computer does not support such loads, because there is not enough RAM. You should read the requirements of the game before downloading

Or, at this point, too many programs are included, try to deactivate them, and clean the registry, you can play through the window by clicking on the loader with the right mouse button - Create shortcut, then in the Properties tab - Object, write the parameter at the end of "-w".

I think that his setup is ok, since requirements for playing D2 are following https://eu.battle.net/support/en/article/Diablo-II-System-Requirements .

You should try to download that D2 CPU Bug fix as others suggested. Also - try to check your core temperature, maybe ur laptop is overheating... (trust me, it is an issue, i thought my desktop was crap until i realised, that boiling my CPU to 100°C while doing simple tasks is rly not helpful. I bought new cooling system and it is completely new machine now :))

It can also be in the temperature, since the computer is clogged with dust and the cooler is buzzing too loud, it may be necessary to replace the thermal paste.
In a pinch, reinstall Windows, but in general you're right.
